It's one of the most ancient pictures of the Archive. The wharf ends with the first pier with a wall that served as repair from the waves; practically its extent was a third part of the current full length. For the remaining characteristics, very little things changed from then. This is just the one-shot fascination of Camogli. In the port some sail ships are at the anchor, bent on one side: at this time there wasn't a shipyard large enough, and this was the system to clean up and paint the hull under the water line belt.
