ARCHIVE ANCIENT CAMOGLI

025.           TRIPOLI  SQUARE

Year:  1912 c

Photography:  Gualco Editions

NOTES:

A post card of the time.

So was the then renewed road toward the center of Camogli (now called Via Piero Schiaffino) coming from the then brand new Piazza Tripoli: the trees on the left are just planted and the stones of the sidewalk are still unfixed.

At left, between the trees and the building, is now located the verandah of the well known Restaurant "Il Faro".

The tree in the center, full-grown at the time of the picture, lives still today: for more than a century children generations enjoyed of the Tripoli square carrob-tree generosity.
