The tall tree set on the terrace of the Dragon Castle, born there for a freak of nature, nevertheless resisted for many years to the fury of the sea but finally a storm heavier than others pulled it down.

It was replaced several times with palm trees, more resistant in the long drought summer and tighter against the assault of the salted sea water.

Still today there are a pair of them on the terrace.

Ended the tallships age, spreads out that one of the tourism: in the port still half empty, (it is the moment of transition between an age and the other) among the customary fishing boats and the last sail ship, timidly begin to appear the first private tourist crafts and the first boats exclusively dedicated to the touristic transports.
