Another fish ended in the tuna-fishing factory nets of Cape Punta Chiappa: this time was an innocuous so-called elephant-shark ended for a mistake in the net, probably following the plancton banks, in the picture raised by the 1840’s crane. On the background we see the sailboat "Uncle Puin" at anchor, utilized for the transport of wine barrels from Tuscany and Sicily that the owner retailed in a tavern of the port (called "The Zonked Club"), regularly attended by ship crews and shipyard workers. |
