On May 21th, 1923 a large fish remained entangled in the tuna - fishing nets. Although the name and the tonnage, these sharks are absolutely innocuous: their only food is the plancton swallowed down with the water, as it is seen by the mouth lacking in teeth and numerous expulsion gills at both sides behind the head. The shark was however imposing: twenty feet long, it weighed 3000 lbs. Because of the swells that the fish showed on the head it was called "rhino-fish". Someone tried also to eat it, but one says that who made it remembered forever the distaste. |
