One of the paintings most seriously damaged by the injury of the time existing in the Sanctuary of Boschetto Exibition.

Between others, the detriment caused in the caption the loss of the last name of the captain, that we today know thanks to the transcription published by Costa in 1919. 

The Madonna, designed with a heavy naif style inside a crown of clouds, therefore as the way to trace small human figures all equal ones on board, remembers the hand of Angelo Arpe. 

In particular the work introduces tightest points of contact with the offer of 1858 - the same year of ours - representing the bombard "S. Giuseppe", preserved in the parochial church of S. Catharina of Bonassola and signed by Arpe: the way to bring the tidal waves in motion is the same.
